30cm from sink

The Part P regulation ? That Socket outlets should be 30cm from a sink or cooker ok But i can not find in Part P document Were it says cooker isolator with out socket out let should be 30cm from cooker it does say should be placed in a position so you cant get burnt when isolating hob.But cant find reference to eg fused spurs. except splashing.Any one got any comments.

30cm from hob's, sinks etc...

Hi Bluechip,

To answer your question, If you take a look at the "electricians guide to the building regulations" book and look up kitchens in the index you will find there is a nice diagram showing the 30cm regulation for sockets, spurs etc from the edge of a hob or sink.

spot on should have opened my eyes. I all way's obey the rule blindly until now looked it up in OSG thank you.
